I had it pointed out to me that there are implications to ‘Brain Smoothies.’ Like, criminological ones. Which makes this a bit of a horror scenario, in its way.

Check out my Patreon! Special NaNoWriMo content!
I pretty much plan to put my daily NaNoWriMo wordcount up on Patreon, as a treat to my Patrons. They deserve it. And, for as low as a mere $1 a month, you can deserve it, too. Short stories! Microfiction! Gaming material! This deal is insanely good.
Patreon Microfiction: Dutiful Nature.
Patreon Microfiction: Practice Makes Perfect.
Some obligatory Patreon shilling.
Such is the way of things. I hate to do it, because I know money’s tight for a lot of people right now. But being an adult is about doing not-fun things, even if they’re not particularly onerous not-fun things. Actually… especially if they’re not particularly onerous, just mildly degrading to one’s dignity. Sometimes you just have to suck it up.
Anyway: want to support my writing? One easy way is to join my Patreon! I have one tier: $1/month. You can give more, but that’s the tier. You sign up for that, and you get access to my weekly microfiction, monthly short stories and TT RPG material, and whatever else I put up there (I often put up larger bits of the WiP for my current novel). It’s one of the best ways to make sure I can keep writing novels, which I think is in everybody’s best long-term interests, right? Right.
Patreon Microfiction: The UnCompiled.
At some point, we’ll have real, old-school folk horror about computers. It’ll take a while, but we’ll get there. Until then, let things like ‘The UnCompiled’ show us the way…
Patreon Microfiction: Inevitable Resolution.
You don’t have the right tenses to be able to see how “Inevitable Resolution” works, temporally speaking. But that’s all right. Neither do I.
Patreon Microfiction: ‘Velvet Glove.’
Which one is humanity, in ‘Velvet Glove?’ The conqueror, the abbot, or the deathworlder? I dunno. You tell me.
The September Patreon stuff is up!
In the veritable nick of time, but that’s okay.
- Short story: The Golem Job. More like a series of connected vignettes (eventually for the RPG), but I think it still works.
- RPG Material: Hex Nation, Part Two (B): Wizards and Society. Establishing the complicated relationship of wizards to everybody else.
