The Yellow King Roleplaying Game Kickstarter.

Brothers (and sisters), have you seen the Yellow Sign?  This one promises to be a nice, big, fat set of RPG settings for playing games where midnight approaches, and so does the Yellow King to his throne in Lost Carcosa.  It’s not going to be excessively cheap, but Pelgrane Press gives good value for the money. And they don’t like missing deadlines.

*Finally* The Yellow King RPG Kickstarter drops Wednesday.

I’ve been haunting this damn feast for it seems like forever waiting for this Kickstarter to unmask itself. …No mask?  What do you mean, “No mask?”

The Yellow King RPG Kickstarter drops next week.

Little teaser video Tweet after the fold (I assume that they’ll announce the Yellow King RPG Kickstarter on Monday).  No, I’m not putting it after the fold because it has the Yellow Sign in it.  I’m putting it after the fold because the video is kind of flashing and strob-y, and while I don’t think that it’ll make you ill it’s still a little disorienting.

Which was the idea, of course.

The ‘Built on Strange Ground’ Kickstarter.

I’m kind of bumping the Built on Strange Ground Kickstarter: I obliquely referred to it last week, but it should have its own entry. It’s a collection of comics and stories that purport to be “true, personal experiences of strange places, haunted sites, mysterious neighbors and local lore.”  Whether you believe in that sort of thing or not; who doesn’t like a good haunted house story? Also, the guy who does Sword Interval has a comic in here, so there you go.

The “The White Box: A Game Design Workshop-in-a-Box” Kickstarter.

I dunno if I can justify getting it, though.  I have no particular ideas for a board game.  But if some of you do then this sounds like a decent investment:

Basically, it combines all the generic stuff you’d probably want for a board game with a book on how to design one. Probably would make a good gift for that teenager in your life who’s into gaming. Heck, I wouldn’t mind something similar for RPG supplements, honestly.

The Sigil & Sign Cthulhu Mythos RPG Kickstarter.

The hook is that the players play the cultists. It’s also got this card-based character sheet system going on that I’m not familiar with, but let’s face facts: I buy more games than I play anyway.  I feel that at least I’m helping to keep more money in circulation, and that should eventually benefit me, right?

Anyway, the Sigil & Sign Cthulhu Mythos RPG is being put together by MBG Games and Cubicle 7 – the latter folks being the ones who do the Laundry RPG, which I order directly from England because it’s faster that way – and has some names writing for it that you might recognize. Check it out.

Day to go on the ‘Cold Warning’ Call of Cthulhu mini-Kickstarter.

Apparently you can do one-week ones, and Cold Warning is one of those.  It’s a blast from the past that had been on ice for decades.  But they thawed it out, which is pretty cool and I think that it’s interesting to see how stuff that’s been frozen in time for that long can still be well-preserved. Plus, if they get enough ice by tomorrow then a stretch goal will open up, which would be chill.

…I’ll stop now.
