Elizabeth Warren (D CAND, MA-SEN) staffer attacks, threatens cameraman.

How does Senator Scott Brown keep managing this?  ‘This’ being defined as “An aide to Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat, appears to have knocked the video camera of a Republican tracker after an event this weekend in Martha’s Vineyard.”

Elizabeth Warren’s Occupiers to attack Tampa’s EMS during GOP convention?

“EMS” standing for “Emergency Medical Services,” of course.  Anyway, that’s the claim – and let us not pretend that the Occupy Movement has not been fully converted into a front for the blackshirt anarchists, shall we?  The following will be familiar to anyone who watched how the antiwar movement got hijacked by the exact same people:

So people have to remember, this isn’t a bunch of unorganized and disorganized kids. This is Lisa Fithian, she’s the one who led the unions and the anarchists to shut down Seattle at the ’99 World Trade Organization protest in Seattle. It’s not something to play around with because when this is all said and done the FBI informants will have stopped bomb plots just as they and I did last time. And when that happens conservatives need to rally around because the left media and the entire left establishment who claims they have nothing to do with these anarchists, they will defend them and dirty the name of anybody who exposes them just as they did to me and just as they did to Andrew. They will defend their darlings and attack the character of anyone who holds them accountable and calls them out. And that’s what’s going to happen this time. We need to stand up as a movement, recognize what the threats are, and we need to defend the people who are keeping us safe and hold accountable and demand accountability for the people who are trying to interfere with our rights to assemble.

The other thing that they’re trying to do is that they have a coms group—and this is breaking news you need to know this—they have a coms group that is trying to shut down the EMS communications structure for the city. That’s really happening. They’re trying to shut down the communications structure for the city for law enforcement and emergency medical personnel.

MA-SEN: Sen. Scott Brown’s lead confirmed?

Apparently, there are people who are shocked by this:

According to a Kimball Political Consulting survey of registered voters in Massachusetts, Senator Scott Brown has a 6 point lead over Democrat Elizabeth Warren (49 percent to 43 percent) with 9 percent undecided. The figure is just within the survey’s 4 percent margin of error.

President Obama continues to hold a double digit lead over former Massachusetts Mitt Romney (52 percent to 41 percent) with 7 percent undecided. Poll results are based on a sample of respondents most likely to vote in November.

RS Interview: Jeff Semon (R CAND, MA-05 PRI).

Massachusetts is… interesting, this year. Despite being a Democratic stronghold, the MA GOP is putting up a pretty good fight; the NRCC recently talked up three of its House possibilities. I was able to talk with one of them – Jeff Semon, in MA-05 – later on.

Come, I will conceal nothing from you.  This is Ed Markey’s district, and the Democrats are prepared to sacrifice a puppy if that’s what it will take to keep Markey in that seat.  Still, Jeff is stepping up: and hey.  Things happen.

Jeff’s site is here.

#rsrh I was unaware that Massachusetts was a swing state this year.

Actually, I know that, yeah, Bookworm Room here is just messing with the Democrats by suggesting that Lizzy Warren is their only hope:

The only “young” gun they’ve got is Elizabeth Warren.  She’s struggling to stay above water in Massachusetts, but Democrats might see her as someone who can revive the base if she’s on the presidential ticket.  After all, when it comes to “You didn’t build that,” she and Obama are two minds with but a single thought.  Better an exciting candidate on the presidential ticket than a struggling candidate for a senate seat that’s already filled by a fairly popular, attractive RINO.

#rsrh #MSNBC’s Rachel @maddow forced to retract Scott Brown plagiarism charge. [UPDATED]

Oh, this is embarrassing: apparently, a hardcore Lefty group had made the claim that incumbent Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown had plagiarized a somewhat obscure Democratic candidate for North Carolina state Senate.  If you’re asking yourself why Brown would do something like that, congratulations: you’re showing one of the traits necessary to make a go with it in New Media.  To wit, the ability to keep asking questions rather than just accept the first answer.  In this case, it turns out that the aforementioned Democratic candidate (Hi, Earline Parmon!) had ripped off Scott Brown, not the other way around*. This revelation unfortunately comes too late for Rachel Maddow, who had to post an embarrassing retraction after accusing the Senator of plagiarism.  As you can imagine, Red Mass Group** is taking a victory lap on this one.

Now, what was that brag of the mainstream media, again?  “Layers of editors and fact-checkers,” or something like that?

#rsrh Shorter Kimberly Atkins: Lizzie Warren doesn’t know how to campaign.

I’m sorry, was this not already known?

Background: Mike Bloomberg came out with a surprise endorsement of Republican Senator Scott Brown, supposedly due to Brown’s opposition to cross-state recognition of other states’ Concealed Carry Weapons permits.  Which is an issue that… I have not really considered before now, actually.  Personally, a Bloomberg endorsement is not something to look for, so if you’re more suspicious of Brown accordingly then I’m not about to criticize you for it. More to the point, there’s an excellent chance that this endorsement was hastily made in order to explain away a fundraiser that Bloomberg was planning for Brown next month – which I assume would have some resonance in Massachusetts.

#rsrh Three things to take from Lizzie Warren’s Whitebread Central HQ photo…

…so ably found by Legal Insurrection:

  1. Yup, that’s a freaking lot of white people, there.  I know that white Massachusetts Democrats traditionally have a bit of a problem when it comes to race relations, but damn.
  2. I would assume that these (probably unpaid) kids are doing the Black Power salute in an ironic fashion, except that kids that age are usually only aware of irony when it’s not biting them personally on the tuchus.
  3. You will notice that Debbie Wasserman Schultz is not giving the Black Power salute, damn her eyes.  That is because Debbie Wasserman Schultz is probably the only person in that photo who will have a political career after November.

Democrats lack moral courage to deal with John Tierney (D, MA-06).

Roll Call probably should have expanded John Tierney’s money/campaign woes into its own post, but the details are still tantalizing: The Massachusetts Democrat has less money in the bank and has raised less money in the last three quarters than has GOP challenger Richard Tisei.  The reason why Tierney is floundering, of course, is because the embattled Congressman has a bit of an in-law problem.  As in, they keep getting convicted of felonies… and they keep insisting that Tierney was involved in said felonies, too. This has had an… effect on the race, in much the same way that ignoring the engine light going off can have an effect on your car’s performance; it’s going to get expensive eventually, but you just don’t know when.

Still, judging how this is going is complicated.  On the one hand, I think that Cook is being too generous to Tierney calling this one Lean Democratic, but then the polling is kind of sparse, and old.  On the other hand, local Democrats are trying to even now recruit an ‘independent’ (the deadline for getting into the Democratic primary has passed). And, on the gripping hand, as Roll Call also noted the DCCC is doubling down: “The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and House Majority PAC have reserved a combined $5.6 million in ad time in the Boston market. The market includes Tierney’s district but also covers two competitive races in New Hampshire.” Continue reading Democrats lack moral courage to deal with John Tierney (D, MA-06).

John Tierney (D, MA-06): Illegal Gambling Crook, or Pathetic Dupe?

John Tierney wants people to know that none of it is his fault. With ‘it’ being a wide-ranging noun:
