BEHOLD! The cover to GHOSTS ON AN ALIEN WIND.

One more step on the road to an actual book.

Don’t forget to check out “Notes from the 2078 United Nations Antarctic Archaeological Survey” and “Tour of Duty” (from COVENANTS) for more adventures in this universe!

Book of the week: COVENANTS.

As I have been making increasingly obvious over the last week, a story from the universe of GHOSTS ON AN ALIEN WIND (“Tour of Duty”) can be found in my chapbook-with-illustrations COVENANTS. My biggest chapbook to date, too! I’ve been writing longer short stories lately.

Four tales of agreements! Follow along as MARIE VISITS THE CONTINENT, on a mission of delicacy, and monsters. Sally forth with Duchess Carlotta into a zombie-haunted world as she takes THE QUEST FROM CASTLE WINDERMERE. Go on a TOUR OF DUTY in the interstellar spaces between charnel worlds. And lastly, discover with our horrified narrator that, after long, long years… THE STARS ARE WRONG. Enjoy! (Four stories, fifty eight thousand words total, each with its own illustration.)

Ooh, getting my copies of COVENANTS in early.

Covenants: Four Tales of Agreements is my latest chapbook, of course; and I took the opportunity to order more of them, since I had to restock my copies of MORGAN BAROD for the Maryland Renn Faire. I’ve heard words that now is a good time to restock your inventories. I don’t know if that’s accurate, but I should have enough stock on hand to handle my upcoming conventions…

Just got COVENANTS in review for paperback.

I’m not entirely thrilled: a combination of inflation and expanded book size means that I had to set the paperback price for COVENANTS at $7.99 instead of $6.99*. I didn’t particularly want to, but the universe doesn’t always care about what I might personally want.

At any rate, it should be live in the next couple of days. Keep watching my page!

*It should be more like $8.49, but that’s not a great price point.

I will be doing an Author Talk with @frightreads on April 6th.

FrightReads Book Fest is a Maryland book festival that I’ve been attending for the last two years. It’s a lot of fun, and very vendor-friendly: I sell a decent number of books, and get to meet a bunch of other indy writers there. It’s pretty successful, too. This year, FrightReads has been expanded to the whole weekend (Sept 30 – October 1st), and they’re coming up with other ways to expand their reach.

One of these is their Author Talks program, in which they, you know, talk to an author via Facebook Live. I’ll be on it on April 6th, from 7 PM until whatever. The link is here: be sure to check it out, on the day!

Book of the Week: COVENANTS.

Shocking, yes. And by shocking I mean No, not really. COVENANTS is certainly my Book of the Week; your mileage, as always, may vary.

COVENANTS now in Kindle pre-order!

Four-story chapbook now available for preorder in Kindle! Covenants: Four Tales of Agreements! The paperback will be worked on next week, after I give the remaining typos a chance to think the coast is clear.

Did the revisions to COVENANTS.

Now I have to go through all of the COVENANTS chapbook again, this time to proofread. And do it again tomorrow. Then add the pictures. Then proofread one more time. Then I do the cover, publish the sucker, and find the last typos that will have taken the opportunity to pop up, once they think I’m not looking. Huzzah!

This might be all done by the weekend. Double huzzah!
