The August Patreon stuff is up!

A little early, because… I don’t know why because. Unless it’s so that I’m not distracted from GHOSTS ON AN ALIEN WIND edits.

  • Short story: ANALOG, Chapter 1. This is going to be the next NaNoWriMo project, and takes as its theme “What would the Cthulhu Mythos be like if it was written by Doc E.E. Smith?”
  • RPG material: Hex Nation, Part Two (A): Book Magic. You can’t do a fantasy alt-history Western RPG unless you establish what the magic can and can’t do. Also: you might very well think that this is written with GURPS 4e in mind – but I couldn’t possibly comment.

The April Patreon stuff is up!

This was a month where I had to pick myself up by the scruff this weekend and stop messing around. Moral of the story: Fallout 4 is for people who don’t have novels to finish. Anyway!

The February Patreon stuff is up!

Huzzah!

  • Short Story: Verdict of History. History was deliberately unkind in its verdict, and I fret that I didn’t make it unkind enough. I rarely dislike my own protagonists to the extent that I disliked these two.
  • RPGs: ARTIFACTS, Chapter 3: Artifacts. Yes, very redundant. And a bunch of synonyms for redundant, because who needs to sit through that joke?

My complete “The Smythe-Worthington Foundation” RPG setting is up on Patreon! (Free!)

Here ya go. Or here:

It’s pre-apocalyptic time travel RPGing at its finest, you know. Then again: how many of those kinds of campaigns are even out there, anyway?

Tweet of the Day, I’m Doing A Twitter Poll On AI Art edition.

Let me establish, though: I hate the idea of using AI art for book covers and tabletop RPG illustrations. I’ve already checked with the artists on my current projects, and they don’t like using AI art, either. So this isn’t some kind of fig leaf, or anything. I don’t jump off a cliff just because everybody else is doing it, either*.

I am curious as to just how much people really care about this issue, though. I may be having an intemperate response. Hence, the poll.

*I believe that I have demonstrated this on occasion.
